Visit the Caldwell Zoo this Summer
Let Summer Begin
As the summer begins to wind down, families are starting to think about going back to school. However, before school gets back in session, you can visit the Caldwell Zoo for one last family outing. The Caldwell Zoo is one of the best family attractions in the Tyler, Texas area. The Zoo offers numerous special family activities that can help you experience wildlife in a whole new way. One of these is the Sunset Safari. This program is designed for children aged 7-10 and lets them see the zoo after-hours. The program starts at 6:30 and lasts until 9 PM. The evening ends with a flashlight walk and will include a snack, games, special animal encounters, and art activities.
Visit The Caldwell Zoo With The Family
For families with younger children, there is the Caldwell Cub Club. This is geared towards preschoolers and will meet four times: August 8th and 22nd and September 5th and 19th. The classes will last an hour and will start at 9:30 AM. They will include touchable small animals, games, songs, and art activities. If you are just planning a regular trip to the zoo, try one of its scavenger hunts. Print off the pages before you leave and see if your kids can find all the animals. Try the Bird Search, Conversation Corps, Habitat Hunt, Mammal Mania, or Sensational Senses.
If you need a vehicle to get you and your crew to the zoo, be sure to check out our lineup at Crown Kia of Tyler in Tyler, TX.
