Halloween Alternatives to Candy

Bobbing for Apples

Halloween is a time of costumes, candy, and scares, but some parents and kids aren’t huge fans of sweets. Fortunately, there are other options when it comes to what you hand out to those who come to you door this October. Check out these great Halloween alternatives to candy!

Glow Sticks

Glow sticks can be both Halloween alternatives to candy and act as a safety feature. Kids are at great risk of being hit by a car as they head house to house. Glow necklaces, glow sticks, and other glow-in-the-dark accessories can make kids visible to drivers and act as a fun toy!

Toys

Most trick-or-treaters are younger, so toys can be a great alternative to Halloween candy. Bouncy balls and stickers are good choices, although you’ll need to be careful who you hand them out to. They might be a choking hazard for younger kids.

Raisins

If you’re looking for a great alternative to Halloween candy, raisins are the way to go. Small boxes of raisins are still sweet, while being healthier than candy.

Bubbles

If you aren’t interested in handing out small toys, bubbles are a wonderful alternative. Kids certainly enjoy blowing bubbles. In fact, doing so can be a great way for families to spend time together. Supermarkets and stores sell small bottles of bubbles that are perfect for Halloween.

Here at Crown Kia of Tyler, we wish you a spirited Halloween season.
